The Design Museum in Kensington & Chelsea
On 18th March I attended a meeting at the Town Hall concerning plans for the opening of the Design Museum in the re-furbished Commonwealth Institute Site in Kensington.
The Design Museum is scheduled to open in its new home on 24th November 2016.
The creative industries are extremely important to the British economy and this centre of excellence will underpin London’s role as a leading centre for contemporary design.
Chamber members involved with architecture, fashion, product and graphic design and design education will benefit directly from having this world class cultural resource in the Borough. Other members will hopefully benefit from the presence of 600,000 visitors to this area each year.
