On Thursday 26th April, Heathrow Airport will be hosting an event at 58VE, 58 Embankment, London, EC4Y 0DS from 4.30pm to discuss how the benefits of Heathrow expansion can be maximised for Greater London. This event will look at how expanding the UK’s hub airport will generate economic growth across the capital by creating jobs, improving connections, and ensuring Britain is open for trade post-Brexit.
As such, this event, which will be hosted as a roundtable discussion, will be focused on unlocking and maximising the benefits for London. The event, hosted as part of our ‘National Conversation’ programme, will bring together local political stakeholders, Chambers of Commerce, London businesses, trade groups, and other key London stakeholders.
The Government selected Heathrow as its preferred choice for airport expansion in the southeast in October 2016. This decision came after a three-year process of examination by the Airports Commission. The Government is expected to schedule an important vote in Parliament on the Airport’s National Policy Statement this summer.
