The Chamber was delighted to show its support for this great scheme by holding two events during the period that the scheme was hung at Leighton House and judged before being available for businesses to loan.
Under the Art on Loan scheme, businesses have the unique opportunity to hire or purchase original artworks entered into Art on Show, an annual competition and exhibition of student artwork, celebrating the creative talent of our young people.
The artwork available for loan is presented to professional gallery standards, ready to hang, for a short period or up to twelve months.
Leighton House Museum is the former home of the Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton (1830-1896). The only purpose-built studio-house open to the public in the United Kingdom, it is one of the most remarkable buildings of the nineteenth century, containing a fascinating collection of paintings and sculpture by Leighton and his contemporaries.
Thanks to The Troubadour for catering at these events.
