A superb evening at the K&C Town Hall saw about 80 businesses attending a very successful evening of networking and refreshments in the elegant Mayor’s Parlour after an introduction to the “More Through the Door” training programme from Two leading local charities, Action Disability Kensington & Chelsea (ADKC) and St Mary Abbot’s Rehabilitation & Training (SMART).
“More Through the Door” aims to support local businesses, organisations and services to be more inclusive of disabled people and people with mental health issues, whether as customers, employees or service users.
Amelia Mustapha from SMART and Jamie Renton from ADKC introduced the work that their organisations do and explained how the “More Through the Door” project can benefit your business.
Grateful thanks to Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Mayor, Councillor Maighread Condon-Simmonds, for attending and hosting the evening.
The Mayor and our Chairman, John Cripps, also presented Marjorie Wallace CBE, the Chief Executive of SANE, with a cheque of money raised at our Christmas Lunch.
We would also like to thank the Troubadour for catering and wines.
